What really sets he Diamond-V precision blade sharpener apart from any other sharpener on the market is the edge guide. Simply by resting the shoulder of the handle on the flat side body of the blade and the head on the edge you will sharpen a consistent angle the whole length of the blade ensuring a uniform cutting edge -remembering that you can get the angle exactly right by extending or retracting the sharpener head until you have the angle exactly correct for the blade that is to be sharpened (see explainer video 5 below)

The Diamond-V precision blade sharpener comes with four interchangeable sharpening heads: All these sharpener heads telescope in and out of the handle body which changes the angle of the sharpener relative to the edge to be sharpened. So for a cleaver with a more obtuse edge angle push the head in to increase the angle - for fine Japanese blades pull the sharpener head out on the shaft to decrease the angle - you may need to experiment a little on your favourite blades to find the optimum setting for each blade.
